The island Smøla is situated in central Norway, 80km west of Trondheim (as the crow flies). It stretches over 281,8 square kilometres, and has a population of a little over 2000 inhabitants.
Veiholmen is situated in the northernmost spit of the island, and is connected to the island by approximately 6 kilometres of big and small bridges.
After about a- 40min-ride over the island from the ferry (Sandvika-Edoya), which connects Smøla with the mainland, you reach ‘the end of the world’
Originally a fishing settlement Veiholmen, with about 70 permanent inhabitants, breathes with typically Norwegian, marine atmosphere and captures you by its stylish marina and plenty of water canals and waterways.
Our apartment house is isolated, on the very edge of the village, with a view over the marina and the sea, just a few meters from the water, where there is also our private marina. The house disposes of 6 apartments with the total capacity of 56 people (4 apartments with 6 beds, 8 apartments with 4 beds). The interior of the rooms is typical, wooden with fully-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, two or three bedrooms, free Wi-Fi, two toilets and a shower.
The price also includes two fishing boats for the 6-person apartment, and one boat for the 4-people apartment. The boats are 19 feet long (nearly 6m), spacious, safe, with a reliable four-stroke engines TOHATSU 25, 30 HP, with hydraulic steering, electric starting and steering wheel, and echo-sounders.
Room for processing the fish equipped with big freezers is located straight next to the marina. In good weather conditions, filleting can also be done outside. Your fish can be smoked or prepared on a grill.
